Right at the beginning, the managing directors took the opportunity to serve their staff at the champagne reception, dressed in white shirts and black bow ties. For the physical well-being, there was a Westerwald buffet, a candy bar and fresh skewers from the grill - an initiative of the production staff. The venue, the Steuler canteen at the headquarters in Höhr-Grenzhausen, was atmospherically illuminated with the help of luminous IBC containers, suspended lanterns and neon lights, and a DJ provided the right sound at the turntable. A popular meeting point was the photo box, which provided great memories of this beautiful evening and "The Hot Wire" - built by the company's trainees. As a surprise highlight, the "Große Funken Kesselheim" from Koblenz had been engaged, with whom an employee of the Steuler Group from Höhr-Grenzhausen actively danced. With a rousing choreography and daredevil lifting figures, they left many guests breathless and after thunderous cheers, there was also an encore for the enthusiastic audience.
In a short speech, Managing Director Michael Steuler summed up why it was important to celebrate the New Year together despite (or perhaps because of) the current crisis: "As socially active people, we all deserved to drink, celebrate and chat with our colleagues again after the Corona abstinence. In addition, despite adverse circumstances, we at Steuler had a very good year and exceeded the 500 million turnover mark for the first time in our company's history. We owe it to all our employees and the team spirit within the company that we were able to achieve this. I would therefore like to thank all our employees for their commitment and tireless efforts on behalf of the company and our customers. Thirdly, our New Year's party gets us in the mood for a challenging new year, in which we plan to make record investments in the future viability of our productions, sustainability and the development of our workforce, despite the energy crisis, the Ukraine war and other adversities. Together with all employees, I look forward to an exciting 2023."
